I chose this view because it seemed like a simple hallway. Not only did it work out well
but it was the kind of challenge I was looking for. Simple and plain so I could go in and
modify later.
I really only had one problem. There was a hallway off of mine. (In the left corner.) It took
a bit of time to figure out how I would be able to make it noticeable.
I think this time around I did ten times better with proportion. The lockers and doors all
come together at the correct height and spot.
I brought my Mona Lisa, to the modern day, by giving her an up to date outfit, a Kindle, and an outdoorsy background. I thought I would show the way we use technology anywhere. By giving her the Kindle, it showed just that. The clothing though was just a way to express what I think about different styles.
I had a lot of trouble with her hands. I drew them about 7 different times. It was the hardest part of the project, considering the Mona Lisa's hands are very "delicate". My solution to this was to draw her laying down so I could position the hands differently. The decision here was, is it going to look like the Mona-Lisa?
I have improved incredibly! My first draft of the painting was just a lousy circle, with football eyes. It was terrible.
I learned that even Leonardo, himself, had difficulties with drawing the Mona-Lisa. Supposedly, there is three different paintings under the one you can see today. So even the expert himself, had to deal with some of the things I had to deal with today.
